Course Highlights
Quantum mechanics and much of physics have provided the foundation of modern science and technology.
Quantum Mechanics III is intended to follow the Quantum Mechanics I and II. Upon completion of this course, students will gain understanding of quantum mechanics at the undergraduate or introductory graduate levels.
The course is a constitution of solid-state physics, statistical mechanics, and quantum electronics. Closely related mathematical methods are also introduced: differential and integral equations, eigenfunction, and algebra.
Topics include:
・Scattering theory
・Spin in relativistic quantum mechanics
・Quantum mechanics of many-particle system
・Second quantization
・Many-electron atoms
・Interaction of light and matter
