Introduction to Science
The School of Science is one of the oldest departments at the University of Tokyo having been established in the 10th year of the Meiji era. Currently, 644 undergraduate and 1475 graduate students in the Master's and Doctoral Programs are eagerly pursuing their scientific studies.
The Graduate School of Science emphasizes pure scientific research. The studies conducted by researchers of diverse interests and viewpoints enable us to understand the true mechanism of nature. We are preparing to meet the challenges of the future through the synergy of research and education.
